Privacy policy
Last updated: October 28, 2026
This policy explains which data we process when you use this website, why we need it and which rights you have.
Who are we?
This website belongs to Hotel Scheepers website. Questions about privacy? Get in touch through the contact form.
Which data do we collect?
- Contact form: your name, email address, message and the language of the page. We use this to reply to you.
- Technical: your IP address is briefly used to prevent abuse of the form (a maximum number of messages per period).
How long do we keep it?
- Contact messages: at most 2 years after the last contact.
Who do we share it with?
We never sell your data. We only share it with parties we need to run the website:
- Resend: sends the email through which we receive a new contact message.
- Our conversion measurement platform (DXV Metis): for every contact message it receives a message number, your choice in the cookie banner and whether you arrived through a paid ad, so we can measure what our ads deliver. If you consented to both ‘Share enquiry data with Google, Meta and Pinterest’ and ‘Personalised ads from Google, Meta and Pinterest’, it also receives your email address and your enquiry's reference in encrypted (hashed) form, the ad code from the link you arrived through, your browser's advertising cookies, your IP address and your browser type. It may then pass that data on to Google, Meta and Pinterest to measure advertising results. Without that consent it stays with the first data and nothing goes to Google, Meta or Pinterest. We do not store your IP address and browser type for this: they are only sent along at the moment the message is reported. DXV keeps the reported data no longer than needed for the measurement. Whether you arrived through a paid ad is a flag that lives only in your browser's memory; nothing is stored on your device for it.
We have agreements with these parties about processing data. They may only use your data for our assignment.
Cookies
Functional cookies that the website needs to work are always on. If anything needs your consent, such as advertising measurement, we ask for it on your first visit; you can choose per item and change your choice at any time afterwards with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of the page. This site currently loads no analytics tool and no advertising pixels. Without consent for advertising storage we do not keep the ad code from the link you arrived through.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have a few important rights:
- Access: ask which data we hold about you.
- Correction: have incorrect data corrected.
- Erasure: have your data deleted, as far as we are not legally required to keep it.
- Objection: object to the processing.
- Data portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format.
Want to exercise one of these rights? Get in touch with us. Not satisfied? You can file a complaint with your national data protection authority (in the Netherlands: autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
Changes
If we change anything in this policy, you will see it in the date at the top.
